Dr. Maryam Tarar

Biography
A career devoted to the specialty.
Dr. Maryam Tarar earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, in 2021, graduating with distinction. She completed a General Practice Residency at Western University in Ontario in 2022 before practicing as a general dentist, and then pursued advanced specialty training in periodontics at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester, earning her Master of Science degree in 2026.
Dr. Tarar is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) and is committed to lifelong learning and to providing the highest standard of periodontal care. Originally from Canada, she recently moved to California to continue her career as a periodontist. She is dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based care — and to creating a comfortable, trusting environment where patients feel heard, informed and confident throughout their treatment journey.
